Calendar

Seeing your tasks as a list tells you what's due, not when your day actually fills up. Heym now has a calendar, built from the tasks and habits you already track.

Anything with a start time and a length shows up as a block sized to its duration. Click an empty slot on the time grid to create a task right there, drag a block to move it, and overlapping items sit side by side instead of hiding each other. Multi-day events run across the columns. Open the calendar from the Upcoming view by switching from list to calendar, then choose a 4-day, week, or month view.

Life area covers

Life areas were text labels with no way to tell them apart at a glance. You can now give any area a cover image. A new gallery view lays the areas out as a grid of covers; click any one to open it.

Habit targets

A habit used to be a plain check-off: done or not, with no room for how much. A habit can now track a measurable target. Pick a typed unit (Count, Calories, Distance, Time, Water, Steps, Pages, Chapters, or a custom one), set a target value, and choose the period it resets over: day, week, month, or year. Turn on "Enter value" to log the exact amount each time instead of counting up by one.

New language: German

The Heym web app is now fully available in German. You can switch language in the settings area.

File and image attachments

Some thoughts come with a file attached: a screenshot to mark up, a PDF to reference, a doc to keep close. You can now attach images and files wherever you write in Heym. Drag one straight into a note, or add it from the / menu. Every upload is stored privately behind a signed link, so only you can open it.

Closing a goal with open sub-goals

Closing a goal that still has open sub-goals used to leave them orphaned underneath it. Now Heym asks: complete the sub-goals along with the parent, or close just the parent and leave them open.

Habit scheduling

The habit editor had three separate frequency controls that could contradict each other — set a weekly count in one and specific weekdays in another, and the schedule was ambiguous. They're now a single schedule control. A time picker sets when a habit starts and how long it takes, and numeric habits (push-ups, glasses of water, pages read) let you type the count you hit, including zero.

Home page

Opening Heym used to drop you straight into a list, with no read on the day as a whole. Heym now opens to a home page built around what you're most likely to want first.

At the top, an activity graph shows what you completed across the week. Below it sit today's tasks, today's habits, and your recent notes, with quick actions to create a task, start a Pomodoro, or capture a note in one click. Every widget is optional: turn any of them on or off and rearrange the rest from the settings menu.

Task times

A date tells you which day a task is due, but not when. Tasks can now carry a time as well as a date. Open the task detail, turn on the time, and pick one.

Notes editor

A plain text box is fine for a sentence, less so for structured thinking. The notes editor now works like a proper document editor.

Type / at the start of a line for a menu of blocks: headings, bulleted and numbered lists, checklists, quotes, dividers, code, images, and file attachments. If you'd rather not reach for the menu, Markdown shortcuts do the same — # for a heading, - for a bullet, [] for a checklist, > for a quote. Check off task lists inline as you go. Drag an image or file straight into the text and it embeds where you drop it; every upload is stored privately behind a signed link only you can open.
